Norman received his Diploma in Architecture with Honours from Technical University of Vienna. A Scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Organization (DAAD) allowed him to pursue a postgraduate degree at the Architectural Association in London from which he gradu¬ated with Distinction. Norman gained professional experience in renowned offices across Europe in¬cluding Coop Himmelb(l)au, UNStudio and Herzog & de Meuron where he has worked as a specialist in computational design and fabrication. From 2012 to 2014 Norman worked as a PhD Researcher at the SEC-Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore / Module II, at the Chair of Architecture and Digital Fabrication (Prof. Fabio Gramazio, Prof. Matthias Kohler)focusing on progressive building processes for robotic fabrication. Since he returned to ETH Zurich in 2014 he leads the research project Mesh Mould at the newly founded National Centre of Competence in Research – Digital Fabrication. |
